When you sit on a chair, sit gracefully and noiselessly, without dragging the chair...in an upright posture, with your hands either on your laps or on the armrests but never on the table in front of you.
When you get up from the chair, stand up gracefully in a proper posture, and push the chair back in place, noiselessly.
